Red Nose Day 2017

No less than 24 players turned up for our Red Nose Day muck-about-melee. We played three rounds of a moving melee and drank beers and ate cake and biscuits. We also raised just shy of a hundred quid for charity and got Pauline to paint her nose with red lipstick - so a successful day in just about every possible way....

Avoiding controversy on the terrain

There was controversy in a recent league game as the deciding point at 12-12 was contested by both parties. Some said it was divine intervention, others a fortunate gust of wind. But EPA Umpire Mike Pegg clarified that, despite protestations, everything had been carried out according to the rules - just make sure you're up-to-speed with them and make sure you don't get caught out.......

Adur Open Doubles

No less than ten teams turned up from Brighton & Hove to play in the Adur Open Doubles on Sunday 19th March. There was purple everywhere you looked as our members competed in a 4-team league in the morning, followed by a knockout competition in the afternoon....

Worthing Charity Open

Last year was very much focussed on getting members to our terrain, take part in competitions and making things fun and enjoyable for members. And we'd like to think that we managed that! For 2017 we're looking to "take BHPC on tour" and get our club more involved with competitions outside of Brighton & Hove....
