Congratulations to Gareth Jarvis and Tony Mann who won the final 13-3 to take Sussex Pétanque’s Doubles Championship last Sunday at Crowborough Social Club out of the nine teams who participated.
They will therefore be one of the two doubles teams to represent SXP at the Champion of Champions later in the year, together with the top two triples teams after the SXP triples championship to be held in Hastings on July 29.
The other one is Tony.
In the shooting championship held on the same day, club member Stephan Alfred came second (as he did last year) and so will represent the region at the Champion of Champions.
