Ray Ager, a founding member of the club and President during 2010, is leaving us to live in La Ciotat, a lovely small port just east of Marseille, and the birthplace of pétanque.
Ray invites everyone to farewell drinks at the Robin Hood Saturday 31 March, 7pm for 7.30pm.
Read about Ray in the March newsletter.

Many thanks for a great evening Ray. We’re looking forward to hearing all about your new world in La Ciotat and wish you good games!
with love, Trish and Jeff
Thank you so much to everybody for such a great turnout and send-off, an absolutely divine cake from Jill’s mum and such nice presents and cards. I really appreciated it and it really hammers home how hard it is leaving Brighton and such a thriving club with so many friends.
I will, of course, stay in touch and will be back next weekend to finalise the house clearance and move.
PS I do still have a few sets of boules left – I’m very happy to do bargain deals to clear them!
Very best wishes.
Ray
Bonjour à tous!
Just a quick message to let you know that I did finally make it to La Ciotat. My new club – which plays a lot of Le Jeu Provençal – has a pétanque comp on Thursday and I’m hoping to play.
Wish me luck.
Regards.
Ray
Bonne chance Ray! Let us know how you get on!
